I LOVED this wedding - these guys were awesome! Emily and Michael got married at one of my favourite venues, The Old Swan in Harrogate. The sun shone on what was to be a really wonderful day with close family and friends
I absolutely loved working with Issy and Declan, what a really wonderful couple they are. They met at school!! Many moons ago and have been together ever since. Declan proposed nearly 6 years later in Venice on the Grand canal - how romantic!!!
Married at my favourite church in Harrogate, Christ Church on the Stray. It has a lovely big balcony so I can get stunning shots from above.
Issy look absolutely beautiful in her dress from the Bridal Factory Outlet in Northallerton carrying the the most stunning red Lilly's and red roses from the ever talented Carols Florist in Harrogate.
The fabulous 1961 blue Rolls Royce Silver Cloud was provided by K Snowdens in Harrogate - who I meet at many many weddings!! This car was amazing and I was lucky enough to get a ride in it too!!! :) The wonderful cake was made by Alices Apron in York and carried on with the red theme.
The Cedar Court in Harrogate always do a great job of hosting weddings with wonderful food and Service.
Issy is quite partial to bees - she loves them! So her dad dressed up as a bee for the funniest father of the brides speech ever!! I truly wonderful wonderful day.
Here's just a few images that I loved from the day.
A beautiful September Saturday brought us to The lovely Hotel Du Vin in Harrogate for Chloe and Ben's wedding. Chloe looked completely fabulous wearing a design from Justin Alexander from the Harrogate Wedding Lounge. I love shooting in and around Harrogate centre - so many places for great wedding photos. I LOVE the black and white image from outside Bettys Tea Rooms. The looks on peoples faces are wonderful! The type of image you see something else each time you look at it.
The flowers were stunning for Chloe and her girls! Created by Carols florist in Harrogate simple and elegant, Chloes bouquet standing out from the bridesmaids with a splash of pink! I couldn't take my eyes of the wedding cake - it was made of cheese!! I'm quiet partial to a bit of cheese! It was awesome - made by The Cheeseboard in Harrogate.
Here are some of my favourite images from the day.
Alison and Steve were married on their 12 year anniversary!! (12 years! lol) They fell in love with the Sun Pavilion. With its stunning setting, beautiful views and grounds and lovely relaxed atmosphere they felt it was the perfect place for the informal family BBQ reception.
Family is so important to these guys - you could tell they were all so close. Such a warm fun atmosphere and the kids had a blast!! Alison's "best girls" Laura and Penny played an important role in helping to plan the wedding - and plan they did I LOVED the little touches they'd added. It's very rare I get to eat with the guests but Alison and Steve had set me a place with the guests and I even had my own favour! Flower seeds to plant in the garden to attract bees! How cool is that!? What a super idea - every time I see those flowers in my garden I will remember their wedding.
I truly loved Alison's dress! From the lovely Wedding Belles Otley She looked stunning, she really suited the figure hugging sleeveless lace design. The cake was a fabulous summers day creation from The Bun Bunny with huggins of summer fruits and cream - Mmmmm!!!
Alison got the very wonderful Lilou Fleur to do her flowers for the day - I absolutely love their designs!
I have the pleasure of bumping into Bonita B, Alsions fabulous makeup artist, at many many weddings! We seem to end up working together lots!! It's lovely to walk into a room knowing the bride is in such safe hands!
Here's just a few of my favourites from the day
Another stunning wedding at The Old Swan Hotel!! This time we were outdoors!! The Old Swan have a lovely little outdoor pavillion that you can get married in - weather permitting!! Jane was desperate for an outdoor wedding but was told there was no chance as the rain came down! Lunch time came and the clouds starting clearing, the rain stopped and hint of sun came through! Knowing how much Jane wanted to be outside the hotel changed everything round at the last minute for her and the chairs and pavillion looked stunning!
Simon and Janes wedding was a intimate day with close family and freinds - family is so important to them both . It was a wonderful day, so full of love and Simons very cheeky fun!!
I love The Old Swan in Harrogate it's one of my favourite town centre venues!! Greg and Helen loved it too - the moment they saw it, already set up for a wedding. With it's lovely grounds, wonderfully grand architecture and impecable service The Old Swan is a super venue.
Greg and Helen met three years ago at a friends wedding at Ripley Castle and never looked back!
The wedding was a summer delight with cricket on the lawn and fabulous deck chairs hired for guests from Sophie Likes in Harrogate
The ceremony took place at Christ Church which is an amazing church for wedding photography. There's a balcony to shoot from and the light is always perfect there!
Here are some of my favourite images from throughout the day - I hope you enjoy. Please do leave a comment.
I think Tabitha was the most excited bride I've ever photographed! It was an absolute pleasure to be around her from the moment I arrived at their stunning venue!
Swinton Park is an outstanding wedding venue, a castle hotel surrounded by beautiful parkland in the Yorkshire Dales. It really is an amazing setting - with the lake right in front of the castle and deer wondering freely around the grounds.
There was some amazing detail that went into this wedding - all done by Tabitha herself, she made all the beautiful stationary - she even embellished her awesome white Doc martin boots!!
Tabitha & Andy met through on line dating and "I realised what a catch he was straight away" she said, together nearly ten years they are just perfect for each other.
Sadley Andys dad passed away before the wedding but Andy proudly wore his fathers wedding ring and Tabitha wore her grandmothers.
Moomins featured in their wedding!!! (I used to love Moomins! hahaha) The cake was stunning (with Moomins!) from The Cake Box in York and they had wonderful bunting made from Storm in a tea cup gifts all handmade with lots and lots and lots of Moomins!!! :)
I did a little collage of the little touches that filled the marquee with all the wild flowers and throughtful games that Tabitha had put together.
I think the best surprise at his fabulous wedding was.......... The Singing Waiters!!! Only Tabitha and one of her bridesmaides knew about the singing waiters - they'd mingeld, poured wine (albeit the wrong wine hahaha!!) then when no one was expecting it they burst into song - it really was fantasic! No one had any idea but not only was the surprise great the boys were just fabulous entertainers!!
Ok - I'll stop gushing now - here are just a few of my favourites.
In the summer I had the absolute honour in photographing Martin & Sarahs wedding at the stunning Middelton Lodge. As soon as they saw this venue they fell in love! From the farm houses for people to stay in the night before, the stunning grounds, the bedrooms, the snooker room and the grand staircase. It was absolutley perfect!
The main attraction that sold it to them was the "shed" hahaha - Middelton have a lovely wooden pavilion where you can marry outdoors but Sarah's dad insisted on calling it the "shed" !!
One of them being a firefighter and one a police officer - I asked how theyd' met - the answer I got was "We met in the woods at work" lol - ok I didn't ask anyomre!!!
Sarah looked beautiful in her dress from The Bridal Gown in Otley and I just adored "Bessie" the VW camper!!
I can quite honestly say I loved working with Martin and Sarah, they make a really wonderful couple and their family were just so warm and kind. I wish them health and happiness and a long married life together. It was very difficult to chose images for this post but I narrowed it down to these - I hope you enjyoy
Another beautiful summers day for Annemarie and Stuarts wedding day at The crown Hotel in Harrogate! An eventful morning when the booked florists didn't turn up with any flowers!! Luckily Blameys florists in Harrogate stepped in to rescue the day! Turned all the bouquets and button holes around like lightening!! It was a fun filled day with lots of love and laughs - here's a few of my favourites from the day.
